Who’s running the show?

After years of diving Southern California kelp beds, both offshore and out at the various islands off of the Southern California coast, jumping in on kelp paddies in the blue water 30+ miles off the coast, and Baja trips for Wahoo and Dorado, Tom and Robbert got to talkin’ about the next trip and where it should be. They wanted something a little bigger - maybe some world class Yellowfin Tuna and ideally a way to spend as much time in water as possible.

Searching for that lifetime shot at a huge fish requires time in the water - LOTS of time in the water. A live-aboard freedive trip provides exactly that. You can be in the water from sun-up to sun-down with a few quick breaks for meals or take a more relaxed approach. That sounded like just the ticket! Now all they needed was to find live-aboards in waters that also offered up some big Yellowfin Tuna. 

After researching options that ranged from Cleofas Banks or Roca Corbatena off of Puerto Vallarta to the Lump off of Louisiana, they realized they had the best thing going right at their own back door - just hop aboard right here in San Diego and  leave the driving to the skippers of the Horizon!

Maximizing relaxation and diving time was clearly the way to go and to top it off with a shot at world class Yellow Fin Tuna, Wahoo, White Sea Bass, and Yellowtail - it just does not get any better than that!
